Splatchi Couture is a Canadian design studio specialising in bespoke automotive art. We are committed to handling your personal information responsibly, in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, S.C. 2000, c. 5).
What We Collect and Why
We collect only the information needed to create and deliver your artwork.

Stripe and Cross-Border Data Transfer
Your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party processor headquartered in the United States. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that your payment data will be transmitted to and processed in the United States under Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Splatchi Couture does not store, access, or retain your credit card number at any point.
How We Use Your Information
- To fulfil and ship your custom artwork order
- To send transactional emails required for your order (confirmation, production milestones, shipping, delivery)
- To contact you if there is a question or issue with your order
- With your consent, to send you news about new collections and studio releases
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.
Email Communications (CASL)
By placing an order, you will receive transactional emails necessary for fulfilment — order confirmation, production updates, shipping notification, and delivery confirmation. These are not marketing communications and do not require separate opt-in.
If you consent at checkout, we may also send occasional studio news and collection announcements. You may withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Requests are honoured within 10 business days. Our mailing address appears in every email we send.
Data Retention
We retain order information (name, address, order details) for a minimum of seven years to meet Canadian tax obligations. Your VIN and vehicle photographs are deleted within 90 days of order completion unless you provide written consent for portfolio use.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request a correction if any information is inaccurate
- Withdraw consent to non-essential communications at any time
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca

Security
Payment data is handled by Stripe, which holds PCI-DSS Level 1 certification. If a data breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as soon as feasible.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as Canadian law changes. The revised date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated. For material changes, we will notify active customers by email.
